Over the years we have noticed trends in what parents of young players would like us to work on during their 1 on 1 coaching sessions:

Confidence – regular positive feedback and signs of self-improvement
Intensity – train harder than what is possible within group environments.
Control – first touch and ball mastery
Shooting – varied techniques & the power behind a shot
Dribbling – a combination of skill and speed
Passing – including the movement before and after completing a pass
Fitness – stamina, strength, speed and agility

A players confidence levels is something we are asked about most regularly and as a result have developed techniques for our coaches to follow during their coaching sessions.

The feedback that has been received from parents has been extremely positive. We have received messages of increased confidence levels, not only in footballing ability but also across other aspects of life. This is something we take great pride in.

How We Coach

We encourage players and parents to let our coaches know of any areas that they’re looking to improve. Each coaching session is tailored towards what the player is looking to achieve, so how we coach will mostly depend upon what the player wants to achieve.

With that said, if you are happy for your coach to lead the way they will be able to deliver a more general initial session to gauge a players ability, strengths and weaknesses and progress from there
over the coming weeks.

Why Choose 121 Sports Coaching?

121 Sports Coaching is the largest provider of weekly private football coaching sessions in the country.

The majority of our coaches are current or former professional footballers. This allows us to deliver high quality and fast paced coaching sessions that are unique and challenge each individual that trains with us. Our individual football lessons are personalised and targeted towards improving all aspects of a player’s skills and techniques.

Our 121 sessions will improve:

  • Confidence levels through constructive and positive feedback
  • General fitness levels, stamina, strength, speed and agility
  • Technical football skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing and control

Combining our coaches playing experience with their experience as a 121 coach, they can focus on improving a player’s ability in ways that will directly affect their performances in matches.

Zak, Aged 8

“Our son has been training with 121 sports coaching, for some time now. The session’s work on technique, fitness and motivation and the benefits speak for themselves as our son has continued to improve as a player.

The coach also promotes an all-round healthy lifestyle, including diet. He also possesses an almost unbelievable ability to not only relate to children but to gain their attention and trust whilst commanding their respect, from a very young age. There has been clear growth and development in the relationship between the coach and our son and a strong bond has developed.

We are delighted that Zak continues to receive coaching from 121 Sports Coaching and we couldn’t rate them any higher!”

Ben, Aged 8

“Thank you very much to all at 121 Sports Coaching, Ben is enjoying his football and your guidance.

Both my Husband and I are football coaches and fully appreciate the benefit of a good well rounded football programme from a young age. We both feel that the 121 tuition Ben is receiving from 121 Sports Coaching is hugely beneficial as part of his development. The difference between his group coaching as part of a team and the individual coaching he receives from his 121 coach is such that each session is directed and driven on what skills and development Ben needs to progress and become a better more well-rounded player.

This one on one attention has undoubtedly developed Ben and we know this will continue into the future.”
